SPOTTED: Blair Waldorf in Manhattan's most desirable wardrobe. Good Afternoon, fashionistas. This is my first post and guess who I decided to base it on? Yes, you guessed it. Who better than the fictional Upper East Side's most witty fashionista? After all, GossipGirl is my favorite show. These are the ultimate BW looks.
So here we have Blair Waldorf sporting a très Chique MARC by MARC JACOBS dress and a not so chique cape by Trina Turke. I hate that Cape! It makes her look so reserved, and if we know one thing about Blair Waldorf, it's that she is not reserved. Besides, there is nothing worse than wearing gold with brown. It is so middle class for our Manhattan elitist. And ladies, take it after Blair and yours truly, in the fall, we wear tights. Not leggings. Tights complete any outfit, whether you shop at Bergdorfs or not so Bergdorfs! Any place from Macy's to Guess might have something similar for less.
Blair Waldorf is nothing without her handbags, and all we need is a picture like this to prove my point. I love the classiness of this outfit! Primarily, her Miss Dior bag (one of my closet favorites!) This handbag will add class to almost any outfit! True, it is not cheap, but it lasts a lifetime. You can find this item at
www.dior.com Also, B looks dashing in a Diane Von Furstenberg suit and a Lorick cape. Bon choix, Blair! And don't forget to get a BW headband from Nordstrom!
Here we have another one of my favorites. This Dolce and Gabanna prize possession dress is to die for! And what's more to die for? She wore it to a dinner with my favorite man, Chuck Bass! Too bad he skipped the dinner to hook up with prostitutes instead :( Ladies, you can never go wrong with this neckline on a little black dress. also, the added sequined belt makes the outfit spark. Whenever in doubt, black always works. Forever 21,
promgirl.com, and Sherri Hill have designs similar and for less.
Who doesn't love Gucci? Who doesn't love a classy auburn brown Gucci dress on Blair Waldorf? Not I! This outfit (except for the cape) is remarkable! You can surely find garments like these at Bergdorf's, Barnies, and Bloomingdales. The sleek black Courtney Crawford shoes and Mulberry bag complete the look. If you love that modern royalty look, then this is the look that you should be aiming for. Guess has equally beautiful, yet much cheaper dresses like this.
Patterns! Prints! This is brilliant! We all know that wearing the same print on your skirt, top, bag, shoes, etc. is a one way ticket to the fashion dumpster, but the key is to mix and match bright and radiant colors. This look tends to look better in the spring and summer than in winter and fall. The top is from Erdem, the skirt is from JC Penny I Heart Charlotte Ronson, and the shoes are from Sonia Rykiel. These brands can be found at some high end retail stores (Neiman Marcus, Bergdorf Goodman, Barneys, Bloomingdales) but if you are on a budget, Macy's and Nordstrom have these amazing patterns.
Here is the Princess to be of Monaco dressing up to her title. There is nothing more elegant than a clean white coat with a Louis Vuitton Monogram bag. Especially when you know that Blair is wearing a Fendi dress underneath that Milly coat. Très élégante, princesse Blair. To get a look similar to Manhattan's latest monarch, then the place for you is Nordstrom or Guess.
I would think that this is probably the most important outfit worn by Blair. No, not only because it's Elie Saab haute couture, but because it is Blair's wedding gown to Chuck on the last episode <3 This elegant look represents Blair and everything that she has become. This is important when chosing a wedding gown, prom dress, Cotillion dress, etc. Find one that suits you. Also, try to find one that's embroidered like Blair's.
Speaking of Cotillion... who else loved Blair's custom made Eric Daman dress? The cream/silver color is a must for anyone worth the time of the New York Times and the bow... I love the bow! Get a dress with a big boy like this someplace on the side of your dress to grasp everybody's attention. Of course, this dress is tens of thousands of dollars, but if you want a much less expensive dress similar to this, then you should check out Nordstrom.
